About
Geralyn Burke Gray is an accomplished, highly engaged executive coach and career strategist with over 20 years of professional experience. She has held executive level positions in many global industries including pharmaceutical, biotech, financial services, energy, high technology, retail and professional services firms. Geralyn’s enthusiasm for coaching leaders comes from her fundamental interest in helping people change and grow. She is skillful in quickly establishing rapport and her practical one-on-one approach helps clients develop confidence in accomplishing more than they ever thought possible. Utilizing questioning techniques and various assessment tools, she is able to assist clients gain further insights into how they are viewed and discover patterns of behavior that limit their effectiveness or potential. Geralyn’s passion and commitment is evident in how she encourages others to build skills, think differently and realize career goals. Geralyn has worked with Fidelity Investments and Cabot Corporation where she facilitated organizational change efforts and coached senior leaders. She has lengthy experience in interviewing and data collection including formal leadership assessment instruments. She partners with leaders to develop realistic plans to achieve business objectives.
As a member of the Senior Executive team at PAREXEL International, Geralyn developed and implemented all HR practices required to support the organization from an early stage, privately held start up, through a successful IPO, to an operation of 3,500 employees worldwide. She developed aggressive recruitment and retention strategies, designed compensation systems, integrated acquisitions, and developed training programs for increased managerial performance. Additionally, Geralyn managed a $2 million temporary employment business that serviced internal clients as well as external clients. Previously, Geralyn led efforts to upgrade leadership teams at several Fortune 100 companies. Her accomplishments included the development of selection and performance management criteria for attracting and evaluating leadership talent. She devoted much of her time to optimizing leadership skills through targeted training programs. Geralyn holds a Bachelor’s from the University of Cincinnati with a concentration in social work and counseling and a Master’s Degree with a concentration in Human Resource Management, from the University of Houston. She is an adjunct with ClearRock Inc., an Executive Coaching firm in Boston and has provided pro-bono coaching services at the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology.
